Who We Are

We are a small country congregation on Chandlersville Road, and we like it that way.

On a Sunday morning you will find well-worn pews, hymnals within reach, light coming through the stained glass, and a room full of people who genuinely know one another. Folks here notice when you are missing and check on you when you are sick. Newcomers tend to get greeted twice - once on the way in and once on the way out.

We do not have a large staff or a long list of programs. What we have is a church family that shows up: for worship, for one another, and for the neighbors around us. If you are looking for a place where you will be known by name, we would be glad to have you.

Our Pastor

Pastor Eddie Warne

Our congregation is served by Pastor Eddie Warne, who leads worship each Sunday morning and walks alongside this church family in the everyday moments as well as the big ones.

What We Believe

Chandlersville Methodist Church is a member congregation of the Global Methodist Church.

Along with our sister congregations, we understand our purpose to be making disciples of Jesus Christ - people who worship God with real passion, love their neighbors generously and without keeping score, and speak openly about the hope they have been given.

Rooted in the Wesleyan Tradition

We stand in the Methodist stream shaped by John Wesley: a confidence in the grace of God that goes ahead of us, meets us in forgiveness, and keeps working on us afterward. We believe God intends to make people genuinely new - not only pardoned, but changed - and that this holiness touches every part of a life, not just Sunday morning.

Jesus Christ as Lord

We confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, crucified and risen. He is not simply an example we admire but the one to whom we belong, and we aim to order our lives, our church, and our decisions around following him.

The Authority of Scripture

We hold the Bible to be God's trustworthy word and the final authority for what we believe and how we live. We read it together, preach from it plainly, and let it correct us rather than the other way around.

The Work of the Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is genuinely at work - drawing people to God, giving new birth, comforting, convicting, and equipping ordinary people for ministry. We pray expecting God to act.

Part of a Larger Connection

Small as we are, we are not on our own. We are joined with Global Methodist congregations across the country and around the world, sharing in a common mission and accountable to one another in it.

An Open Door

We believe the grace we have received is not ours to hoard. Whoever you are and wherever you are coming from, there is a seat here for you and people who will be glad you took it.

A Note on Our Name

Our congregation was formerly affiliated with the United Methodist Church, and some older church directories, map listings, and social media pages still show us that way. We are now a congregation of the Global Methodist Church. If you found us under the old name, you are in the right place - same church, same building on Chandlersville Road, same welcome.
